The Delhi Police, in collaboration with the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), is gearing up to host an open competitive examination to fill Constable (Executive) positions, catering to both males and females, within the Delhi Police force. SSC Delhi Police Recruitment 2023 Details

  • The SSC will advertise the examination based on the vacancies communicated by the Delhi Police.
  • Only online applications will be accepted.
  • The Computer-Based Examination (CBE) will be available in both English and Hindi.
  • The Physical Endurance and Measurement Test (PE&MT) will be conducted in Delhi and will be of a qualifying nature.
  • During PE&MT, Delhi Police will verify the eligibility certificates and documents.
  • The Commission will declare the final results based on CBE performance, subject to the successful completion of PE&MT and other stipulated conditions.

The compensation for this position falls under Pay Level-3, ranging from Rs 21,700 to Rs 69,100.

The total number of openings for Constable (Executive) positions stands at 7,547, distributed across various categories.

Quota for Ex-Servicemen

Within each category of Constable (Exe.) males, 10% of vacancies are reserved for Ex-servicemen. Half of this quota (i.e., 50%) is specifically designated for Ex-servicemen who fulfill specific criteria, such as serving in Special Forces/NSG, achieving a ‘Qualified Instructors’ grading in the Commando course, or holding positions in the Navy/Air Force.

Age Limit

As of July 1, 2023, applicants should be aged between 18 and 25 years. Different age relaxations are applicable for various categories.

Educational Qualification

Prospective candidates are required to have completed 10+2 (Senior Secondary) from a recognized board. Certain categories may benefit from relaxed educational qualifications.

SSC Delhi Police Recruitment 2023 How to Apply?

To complete the application process, follow these guidelines:

  • To apply, you must use the official SSC Headquarters website at https://ssc.nic.in.
  • When filling out the online Application Form, you must upload a scanned color passport-size photograph in JPEG format. The file size of the image should range from 20 KB to 50 KB, and the dimensions of the photograph should be approximately 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height).
  • The photograph should portray the candidate without a cap and spectacles, ensuring a clear and frontal view of the face.

SSC Delhi Police New Vacancy 2023 Application Fee

The application fee is set at Rs 100/-. However, women candidates and individuals belonging to SC, ST, and Ex-servicemen categories are exempt from this fee. Various online payment modes are available for fee submission.

Examination Centers In the Northeastern Region

The examination will be held at various centers, including Itanagar, Dibrugarh, Guwahati, Jorhat, Silchar, Imphal, Shillong, Aizwal, Kohima, and Agartala.

Scheme of Examination

  • The examination comprises a Computer-Based Examination (CBE).
  • The CBE consists of multiple-choice questions covering four sections: General Knowledge/Current Affairs, Reasoning, Numerical Ability, and Computer Fundamentals.

Physical Endurance Test for Male Candidates

The Physical Endurance Test for male candidates, including ex-servicemen and Departmental candidates, is based on age categories as follows:

Up to 30 years: Complete a 1600-meter run in 6 minutes, a long jump of 14 feet, and a high jump of 3 feet 9 inches.
Above 30 to 40 years: Complete a 1600-meter run in 7 minutes, a long jump of 13 feet, and a high jump of 3 feet 6 inches.
Above 40 years: Complete a 1600-meter run in 8 minutes, a long jump of 12 feet, and a high jump of 3 feet 3 inches.
Candidates who successfully complete the race are eligible to attempt the long jump and high jump. They have three chances to clear either the long jump or high jump, and disqualification in the race, long jump, or high jump is final.

Standard of Physical Measurement for Male Candidates

Height

Minimum 170 cm.
👉 There is a relaxation of 5 cm for residents of Hill areas such as Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas, and candidates from states like Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, and Leh & Ladakh. ST candidates.
👉 Also, get a 5 cm relaxation. Additionally, sons of serving, retired, or deceased Delhi Police personnel/Multi-Tasking Staff of Delhi Police receive a 5 cm relaxation.

Chest Measurements

The chest measurement should be a minimum of 81 cm with a minimum of 4 cm expansion (i.e., 81 – 85 cm). Similar relaxations apply as mentioned for height based on the candidate’s category.

Physical Endurance Test for Female Candidates

For female candidates, including Departmental candidates, the Physical Endurance Test standards are categorized by age as follows:

Up to 30 years: Complete a 1600-meter run in 8 minutes, a long jump of 10 feet, and a high jump of 3 feet.
Above 30 to 40 years: Complete a 1600-meter run in 9 minutes, a long jump of 9 feet, and a high jump of 2 feet 9 inches.
Above 40 years: Complete a 1600-meter run in 10 minutes, a long jump of 8 feet, and a high jump of 2 feet 6 inches.
👉 Like male candidates, female candidates must successfully complete the race to be eligible for the long jump and high jump. They also have three chances to clear either the long jump or high jump, and disqualification in the race, long jump, or high jump is non-appealable.
