Important Notes Of IOCL 12th, Graduation, Diploma and ITI Apprentice Registration
IOCL Apprentice Qualification Criteria:
- The minimum qualification for Class XII, Graduate, or Diploma holders should be from a recognized institution as a regular full-time course in the relevant trade/discipline with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST and PwBD category candidates for reserved seats) in aggregate.
- For ITI qualification, only pass marks in a regular full-time ITI course recognized by NCVT/SCVT shall be considered.
- Diploma/Graduation/ITI in specified Branch/Subjects will be considered as eligible qualifications. Qualifications in other than specified Branch/Subjects will not be considered.
- Candidates with higher professional qualifications (e.g., BE/B.Tech, MBA, CA, LLB, MCA, etc.) are not eligible.
- Candidates with B.Sc. (Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry/Industrial Chemistry) or B.Com can apply for specific Trade/Disciplines.
IOCL Apprentice Age Limit:
- Minimum 18 years and maximum age of 24 years as of 31-10-2023 for General/EWS candidates. Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD candidates as per Govt. guidelines.
- Marksheet/Certificate from the Board of Secondary Education for passing Matriculation (Class X) Examination is the only acceptable document for age proof.
IOCL Apprentice Selection Process:
- Written Test: Candidates must secure a minimum of 40% marks in the Written Test to qualify. Minimum qualifying marks are 35% for SC/ST/PwBD categories.
- Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for Document Verification.

- Visit the website www.iocl.com and go to ‘What’s New’ > ‘Engagement of Apprentices under Refineries Division’ > Click on “Detailed advertisement” to refer to the Advertisement.
- Click on “Click here to Apply Online” to fill out the online application form.
- Ensure you have a scanned copy of your color photograph and signature in jpg format (size not exceeding 50 KB) ready before applying online.
- Verify the correctness of all information before filling in the online application form and submitting it.
