Indian Army recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria:
Nationality:
The candidate must belong to one of the subsequent classifications:
- A citizen of India
- A subject of Nepal
- An individual of Indian descent who has relocated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, as well as the East African nations of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam, with the aim of establishing permanent residency in India.
Candidates falling under categories (ii) and (iii) need a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India. Gorkha subjects of Nepal are exempt from this requirement.
Age Limit:
- SSC(Tech)- 63 Men and SSCW(Tech)- 34 Women: 20 to 27 years as of 01 Oct 2024 (Candidates born between 02 Oct 1997 and 01 Oct 2004, inclusive).
- Only widows of Indian Armed Forces Defence Personnel who have died in the line of duty are eligible for SSCW (Non Tech) [Non UPSC] and SSCW(Tech), with an upper age limit of 35 years as of 01 Oct 2024.
Educational Qualification:
Candidates with a completed Engineering Degree or those in the final year of an Engineering Degree course are eligible to apply. Final year candidates must provide proof of passing the Engineering Degree Examination, including mark sheets, by 01 OCT 2024. The Engineering Degree Certificate must be submitted within 12 weeks from the commencement of training at PCTA. Failure to produce the required degree certificate will result in induction on an Additional Bond Basis for training cost recovery.
