The online registration of the Employment Exchange for the state is conducted by the Department of Skill, Employment, and Entrepreneurship, Assam. Any Indian above 14 years who is living permanently in Assam can apply. It should be noted that only one employment exchange located at their respective places of domicile being district will be allowed to register names of such candidates

Eligibility Criteria

There are some mandatory conditions you have to meet before you are registered. The criteria include:

  • Age Limit: Citizens over fourteen years of age are eligible.
  • Domicile: Residence in Assam only allows for registration at one Employment Exchange within the district.
  • NOC for Employed Candidates: Any person with a job who wants to look for a better position must give his current employer a non-objection document.

Employment Exchange Registration Process

Registration process is done online, which is accessed through the official website of the Department of Skill, Employment and Entrepreneurship Assam. Two modes of registration are available:

  1. AADHAAR Based Verification: To register online, an applicant must have an AADHAAR card with a permanent address in Assam. Visit to the Employment Exchange physically is not compulsory.
  2. Non-AADHAAR Based Verification: For people without an AADHAAR card, the registration process involves physically verifying documents at the Employment Exchange office.

Documents Required For Employment Exchange Registration in Assam

TTo complete their registration process they have to provide:

  1. Mobile Number: a mobile number that is valid and working.
  2. Educational Qualification Documents: only one pdf file with all the certificates for all subjects covered in the course
  3. Age Proof: Birth Certificate, HSLC Admit Card, or School Certificate.
  4. Proof of Residency: AADHAAR Card, Driving License, Copy of Chitha/Jamabandi, Copy of Passport, or Electoral Roll/EPIC.
  5. Caste Certificate (if applicable).
  6. PWD Certificate (for Persons with Disability).
  7. Experience Certificate (for employed candidates).
  8. Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (for OBC/MOBC-NCL candidates).

Re Registration Of Employment Exchange Assam

Assam’s Directorate of Employment and Craftsmen Training has issued a directive instructing candidates to re-register at selected employment exchange centers by February 29, 2024. The purpose of this initiative is to keep the records of those who are seeking jobs up to date and accurate in Assam state. Therefore, any person who does not meet this deadline automatically disqualifies themselves from any chances of ever getting employed by the government which includes jobs such as grade C and grade D in the Assam Government. How To Find Employment Exchange Registration Number

  1. Online Portal: Some states have online portals that contain employment exchange information, which includes a registration number. Find out whether your state’s Employment Exchange has a portal on the internet and if it can be used to retrieve your registration numbers.
  2. Go to Employment Exchange: If you do not find your mail or other papers with registration number, go to the nearest office of the Employment Exchange in your area. There, staff should help you recover your registration number provided you bring any identification papers or past proofs of registering at the exchange.
