DGHS Recruitment Other Eligibility Criteria

Nationality/Citizenship:

Candidate must be a citizen of India.

Permissible Relaxations in Upper Age Limit:

SC/ST: 5 years
OBC: 3 years
Ex-Servicemen: 3 years after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age as on the date of reckoning.
PWBD (Persons with Benchmark Disability):
- Age relaxation of 10 years (15 years for SC/ST and 13 years for OBC candidates) in the upper age limit shall be allowed to persons suffering from:
  - Blindness or low vision
  - Hearing impairment
  - Locomotor disability or cerebral palsy
- Subject to the condition that the maximum age of the applicant on the last date of the application shall not exceed 56 years.
- Relaxation of age limit would be permissible to such persons who have a minimum of 40% disability.
For Government Servants:
- Upper age limit is relaxable for Government servants up to 5 years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Government of India.

Exam Format: Computer-based examination with one objective type paper.
Time Allotted: 60 minutes for 60 questions, each carrying 4 marks.
Language: Conducted in English and Hindi only.
Negative Marking: 1 mark deduction for each incorrect answer.
Exam Dates: To be communicated through institute websites and Admit Cards.
Re-evaluation/Re-checking: No provision; Correspondence not entertained.
